I agree with your selection of David Peel, Baron Meinster in Hammer’s “The Brides Of Dracula”. I believe that next to Christopher Lee’s “The Horror Of Dracula” [U.S.A. title], “Brides” was far and away the best of the Hammer vampire films. I know why they didn’t follow up with David Peel’s Baron Meinster. That was our loss as well as Hammer’s. Best, John R. Tracy
I agree. That movie is my favorite of all the Hammer Draculas. Meinster was an intriguing character and Peel played the part well. (Actually, the entire cast was terrific.) I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Yvonne Monlaur a couple of times too. She’s very sweet.
